WAKU WAKU JAPAN CAFE Opening Party

Hey guys! Whaddup..?!

Finally the Waku Waku Japan Caf� is officially opened. It�s located in Gandaria City, Upper Ground. I had an opportunity to attend the opening party of it. It was actually planned that I would go there with Ka Bena (benablog), Ka Bintang (sugarandspace), Ka Vendry (moinblog) & Aulion. But from them all, only the two of us that could make it.

The Opening Party was held in Gandaria City. There were 2 events. One was located in Gandaria City, The Piazza. And the other one was in the caf� itself. I was arrived earlier than the schedule, because the location is really near from my board house. Then I met Ka Bintang there a moment later.

I was aware that there would be a plenty of blogger invited to the event, but I wasn�t expected that Stella Lee was there too. Because I thought she�s still in Japan (based on her Instagram�s post). And I saw Clara Devi was there too! Oh, this event would be so much fun!

First let me show the interior and the atmosphere from the caf� itself. This is the entrance of the caf�.

And then these are the seats. Well, there are two kind of seats that you can choose, the chairs and on the pillow like you see on the picture below.

The caf� itself has two rooms, the inside one and the outside one. Actually I�m in doubt if you ask me �Would you like to prefer, to sit inside the caf� or outside?� Because if you choose the indoor one, you can feel Japan atmosphere by seeing a Sakura decoration on the ceiling + you can sit on the pillow like the Japanese usually do.

But if you choose to be seated outside, you can see The Piazza directly and there are a lot of traditional Japanese things as the decoration.

That�s the caf� tour guys, now let�s continue to tasting the main meals of Waku Waku Japan Caf�. We were offered to choose three meals. First, Tai-Chazuke. It is a meals contains of freshly sliced sea beam (in Indonesia we called it Kakap).

And then we had Tempura-Chazuke.

Last one was Salmon-Chazuke.

So, Chazuke is a main course that contains rice with some vegetables and Japanese spices like wasabi and others that I forgot to ask. (because I was too eager to eat, hungryyyyyy)
And the mixed rice and vegetables was poured with fish broth (I guess) and you have to eat it right away before the rice get mushy.

What makes the three of em different is the topping. But if you ask, which one is my favorite, well because I only tried Salmon and Tempura ones, I prefer to choose the Salmon one. Because I love Salmon >.<

After we had the chazuke, we tried the most popular Japanese food in Indonesia. Yep! It�s Sushi. But it wasn�t the ordinary sushi that I usually eat because this one is placed in a bowl. Wait, what? Yeah, it�s called Chirashi Sushi. Actually this menu is pretty common in Japan, but maybe for some Indonesian like me who hasn�t visited Japan yet will be unusual to see sushi in a bowl.

Hmm,well actually it was kinda unusual for me to see Sushi that I usually eat with this kinda sushi. I mean, have you ever see a sushi in a  bowl? I haven't. If you guys can see, the Cirashi Sushi kinda looks like a mixed rice with some fish topping (fish ball,fish meat and others fish things???) and vegetables. But it tastes really delicious! I mean look at the Cirashi Sushi, doesn't it look so Kawaii to you??  ?(�?????`?)

After having meals, we continued in to the opening event itself which was located in the Piazza Gandaria City.

First, we wore a Japanese Traditional cloth, Yuka. And I got a samurai.

Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you that Arief (Poconggg) was also in the Opening Party.

After trying the Yuka, the MC of the event told us that Ultraman was going to join the crowd! Yay... And taraaaaaaa! I presented to you, Ultraman Mebius.

And I got a chance to take a picture with him (+ a selfie ^^).

After taking a picture with Ultraman, I tried to play some Japanese Traditional Games ^^

Even though I didn't win, but I had a lot fun from this Waku Waku Japan Opening Party Event :) I never go to Japan but I taste Japan here at Waku Waku Japan Cafe ^^

Food Tasting with Waku Waku Japan Cafe

Hey guys! Whaddup..?!

It's December already! Huh.. There are a lot of stories that I haven't told you yet. It happened on November. But wait,one of it was from Halloween Eve -_- But,hey I'm going to tell you about what I did on November.

Some of you maybe already knew about Waku Waku Japan. Yes! It's a Japanese TV station which is aired in TV Cable (Indonesia). So,this Waku Waku Japan TV is going to have a Cafe in Jakarta. But before they opened the cafe,they wanted to know about Indonesian's taste especially for snacks. In order to know about it,they invited some bloggers & people to taste it before they launched the cafe & the snacks.

Ka Vendryana (Moinblog) & Ka Bintang (sugarandspace) were invited to the food tasting. They asked Ka Bena, Aulion & Me to join them too. Since I didn't have an activity that day,so I joint the food tasting.

I went to the food tasting with Ka Bintang, while Ka Vendry went with Ka Bena & Aulion. I guessed that only Bloggers which were invited to the food tasting, but it turned out there were some JKT48's members!

To be really honest, they were cutter in the real life than on TV #itsacompliment :) We introduced ourselves but I didn't remember all of em. But I recognized Haruka, since her English & Japanese are really good!

Ok,enough for the JKT48,let's focus on the food. Before the food tasting, we were being told about the Waku Waku Japan Cafe. It would be opened on Gandaria City! Yay,it's really close from my board home.

First I tasted  Shiki-Oriori. It's a Traditional Cookies based on seasons in Japan. First, I had Autumn and Winter. Autumn contains Brown Sugar and Soyu. Winter contains Chocolate and Sansho.

The tastes of these two cookies are different than all the cookies I have ever tried. If you see from the picture above, Winter looks like an ordinary choco cookies, but hey there is a surprise taste in it. (Try it your self in Waku-Waku Japan Cafe). And then we have The Autumn ones. Autumn contains Soyu sauce. And as you guys can expect, yes it tastes salty yet spicy.

After tasting the Autumn and Winter, we tasted Summer and Spring. Summer contains Black Sesame, Spring contains Matcha.

Like you guys can see, Spring and Summer isn't far from my expectations. But the Matcha in the Summer one isn't strong. So, for those who doesn't like Green Tea that much,maybe should try this Summer cookies. And about the Spring, as you can see on the picture, there are plenty of black sesames in it, and yeah the scent of the black sesame is stronger than the Matcha one. Spring tastes Umami!

After tasting the Shiki OriOri, I taste another cookies. Well, it's a mini pastry I guess.

I totally forget about these pastries name, but these pastries suit very well with tea or maybe coffee. You can spend a noon with your friends here at Waku-Waku Cafe (Which will be opened from Nov 28th until Jan 28th).

Well, If you are asking, I guess my favorite cookie goes to the Winter one!

SHENZEN - HONGKONG TRIP

Hey Guys... Whaddup..?!

I just came back from a holiday trip with my mom. It was unexpected trip because it's not holiday season yet. I went to Shenzen first then Hongkong. In Shenzen, I visited Window of The World. It's a place where there are miniature versions of world seven wonders and others. I took some pictures but it didn't go well because I ride a train to see around.

I visited Avenue of Star and Victoria Peak in Hongkong. Venue of Star is a place where there are a lot of hand signs of Hongkong Stars such as Jackie Chan, Andy Lau, Aaron Kwok and many more. I tried a local snack made from squid that's baked and sliced. Victoria Peak is a highest place in Hongkong, where you can see Jackie Chan old apartment. I only took a few photos cause my battery was about to die.

                                                                                                                                                         

Gue baru balik dari liburan ^^ Wuiihh.. Eh gak wuihh juga sih karena liburan kali ini sangat amat dadakan. Ga ada persiapan apalagi tabungan. Beberapa dari kalian mungkin tau kalau gue lagi sibuk yep skripsi :( Tapi karena ini adalah ajakan Mamah, jadi mau gak mau harus ikut. Liburan kali ini gue pergi berkunjung ke Shenzen dan Hongkong. Ok, dimulai dari Shenzen ya. Sebenernya gue bingung dengan perbatasan dan masalah geografi, mungkin kalian bisa googling ya :p

Jadi, pertama kali mendarat itu di Bandara Hongkong malam hari. Setelah itu gue dan rombongan (sekitar ada 26,termasuk gue dan Mamah) naik bus menuju Shenzen. Ada 3 imigrasi yang harus kita lewatin, pertama di Bandara, terus keluar dari Hongkong, dan yang ketiga pada saat masuk ke Kota Shenzen. Di sepanjang perjalanan, tour guide yang orang asli Shenzen bercerita kalau di China itu hanya boleh mempunyai 1 anak. Bukan dilarang untuk mempunyai anak lebih sih,tapi kalau punya anak lebih dari satu, hanya anak pertama saja yang mendapatkan subsidi dari pemerintah. Ditambah lagi,kalau gue gak salah denger ya, kalau mempunyai anak lebih dari 3 akan dikenakan pajak :O

Setelah menempuh perjalanan sekitar 30 menit,kami sampai di Century Plaza Hotel (tempat penginapan selama di Shenzen). Tempatnya bagus dan yang terpenting adalah ada free wi-fi di setiap kamar. Tapi gue bukanlah tipe orang yang rajin bersocial media kalau lagi liburan. Karena gue pengen menghabiskan waktu untuk liburan. Terus wi-fi untuk apa? Untuk ngabarin keluarga di rumah ^^

Ok lanjut ke esokan harinya, rombongan berkunjung ke Windows Of The World. Cuaca di Hongkong lagi dingin karena memasuki Winter (masih Fall). Sekitar 18-22 derajat celcius Disini banyak banget miniature gedung gedung terkenal di seluruh dunia. Dari 7 keajaiban dunia, sampe gedung putih. Tapi sayang banget, karena waktu yang terbatas, rombongan keliling tempat pake kereta. Tapi ada beberapa sesi (10 menit), untuk kita turun dari kereta dan melakukan foto-foto.

Setelah itu, kita pulang ke Hotel untuk istirahat dan ada free program sekitar 3 jam sebelum waktu tidur (9pm). Free program ini gue pake dan beberapa orang dari rombongan untuk belanja di Lowu Mall. Tempatnya? Sama aja kaya ITC Mangga Dua :'') Orang guide dari Shenzen aja bilang "Kalau Indonesia punya Mangga Dua, di Shenzen ada Mangga Satu #wtf". Terus di Lowu ini kita harus nawar samp 90%. Ngeri gak? Tapi emang bener ada beberapa toko yang sengaja naikin harganya sampe 70-90% dari harga asli biasa dia jual ke turis. Contoh nyatanya, gue nemenin nyokap beli Cardigan dengan harga 260 Yuan, karena gue tau ini bahannya tebel dan rapih serta bagus #halah jadi gue cuma nawar jadi 150 Yuan. Akhirnya setelah melalui sesi tarik ulur yang sulit, akhirna dia jual 160 Yuan. Eh terus gak jauh dari toko itu, ada yang jual Cardigan sama persis. Mau tau dia kasih harga awal berapa?? 960 Yuan. #trims

Besoknya, rombongan balik lagi ke Hongkong untuk ngikutin jadwal trip disana. Hari pertama di Hongkong, gue dan rombongan berkunjung ke Venue of Stars. Dimana kalian bisa nemuin telapak tangan selebriti Hongkong. Ah, gue nyobain jajanan di Venue of Stars, karena wanginya enak  banget! Mungkin di Indonesia kaya Juhi kali ya. Agak keras sih, tapi lumayan buat ganjel perut hehehe. Setelah itu, ke Victoria Peak untuk makan siang dan jalan-jalan.

Abis itu kita check-in di Hotel Regal Oriental didaerah Kwoloon City. Besoknya dapet 1 hari free program dari Tour yang gue gunain untuk temenin Mamah belanja oleh-oleh untuk temen kantor.

Ah, sebenernya banyak banget yang gue ceritain tentang liburan kali ini. Tapi ga bakalan abis satu halaman deh. Terimakasih banyak teman-teman yang sudah membaca. Apakah kalian ada rencana liburan ke Hongkong atau Shenzen? Well, you guys don't wanna miss the fun facts below. xoxo have a great day!

Facts about Trip :

- Ok, gue gak banyak belanja liburan kali ini. Jadi uang Yuan dan Hongkong Dollar masih sisa.

- Persiapin uang secukupnya, sedikit lebih dan pecahan. Apalagi untuk kalian yang pake travel dan harus bayar tip ke guide, rata2 mereka ga punya pecahan uang dollar Amerika (biasanya kebijakan dari Travel pake USD). Karena kemaren gue ga bawa pecahan, jadi bayar tip pake uang Negara masing-masing.
- Hongkong dan Shenzen bukan negara yang bersih. Jadi selalu bawa botol kosong untuk pergi ke kamar kecil. Apalagi kebiasaan orang sana, jarang ngeflush. Jadi kalau bisa, masuk WC yang abis dipake orang Indonesia dulu. Hahaha

- Gue gak ke Disneyland, karena Disneyland is not suitable for my Mom :')

- Banyak orang Indonesia dan Thailand di Kwoloon City

-  Buah-buahan dan Sayur-sayuran di sana surprisingly really good dan murah!

- are you gonna visit Hongkong again? I don't think so.

- Kena Delay 7 jam pas kepulangan ke Indonesia. Udah gitu Delaynya nambah 2 jam. Eh pas transit di Singapur,ga ada pesawat ke Jakarta. Yang akhirnya kita dapet komplimen dari pihak Penerbangan nginep 1 hari di Singapur for FREE, not yay because

- Gue sakit di hari terakhir trip di Hongkong. Pas lagi nulis ini juga masih sakit :") Get well soon for me!
